Roger and Will Wilson, from Lower Odd Farm recently made the switch from another branded telehandler to a Kramer 3610. After putting 320 hours on the clock with their new machine, they wanted to share their experiences and reasons why we’re thrilled with their choice.
‘Our Initial Impressions were moving from a torque converter to a hydrostatic drive took some getting used to, but now we wouldn’t go back. The Kramer 3610 is quiet and offers such a smooth ride, with seamless gear transitions. It’s always in the right gear, which makes a huge difference in usability.
The performance and manoeuvrability of this machine is outstanding, it is compact, robust, and incredibly manoeuvrable, with an impressive reach. We quickly adapted to the new joystick and controls. All our attachments fit perfectly without needing any adjustments, which was a pleasant surprise and saved us a lot of hassle.
"We quickly adapted to the new joystick and controls"
The Kramer’s cab comfort and controls are top-notch. It’s has a smooth floor and it is easy to get in and out of. The cab is so quiet that we can easily listen to the radio while driving. Having most functions on the joystick makes it super easy to operate, and the steering wheel selector for crab steer is conveniently placed. The crab steering centres back quickly, and the four-wheel steer helps us navigate tight spots with ease. We particularly enjoy loading grain with all operations accessible via the joystick, making it very user-friendly. The creeper function is excellent, reducing our need to use the brakes, which helps save on wear. The visibility is outstanding, especially on the right side, thanks to the sloping bonnet design. Backing down sheds is easier since we can see both rear wheels from the cab, and the camera provides additional support.
We’re very impressed with the Deutz engine in this machine. It’s economical to run. We find this telehandler leaves fewer tyre marks and scrubs on the yard, so the tyres are wearing down less quickly. Also, parts for this machine seem reasonably priced, which is a big plus. Our Kramer is also easy to wash and maintain, with accessible grease points and fewer grease nipples to worry about. The hydraulic flow is outstanding on this machine, and we find the service pressure release on the boom is handy for changing implements outside the cab. TAG have always looked after our machines well, and the excellent backup support we’ve received from them was a key factor in choosing to invest in a new Kramer with them. Their service has been top-notch, and it’s reassuring to know we have that back-up support when we need it. Switching to the Kramer 3610 has been a fantastic decision for us. The combination of comfort, efficiency, and ease of use makes it a standout machine. We’re very satisfied with our choice and confident that it’s a great investment for our business needs.’
