How much can I apply for?
- The grants are for a minimum of £1,000 and a maximum of £25,000 for specific items.
- A full schedule below which details the funding for individual items.
- Applicants must have sufficient funds to pay for all Items in full, before claiming the grant payment, as this is paid in arrears.
- For example, if you buy an item costing £1,000 and the grant amount allowed for that item is £400, you need to pay the remaining £600 yourself. You can’t fund this remaining amount with other UK public funds such as other grants, or via lease or hire purchase (Not on finance).
Timeline for applications
- You will have to pay for and install all items before you can claim a grant towards them, and ahead of the claim submission deadline. Although still to be confirmed the expected deadlines are;
- October 2023 for Productivity & Slurry items
- January 2024 for Animal Health and Welfare items
- Applications must be submitted online using;
- Productivity & Slurry FETF Application portal (Expected to open in February 2023)
- Animal Health and Welfare FETF Application portal (Expected to open in March 2023)
- Once equipment is purchased, installed and the item is operational, a single claim for payment for all the Items listed on your application needs to be made. More details on claiming can be found here.
With supply challenges on may items of equipment, act now to ensure that any grant funded purchases can be on farm ahead of claim deadlines.
