ISOBUS Connectivity
ISOBUS is an open communication network technology for connecting electronic devices on agriculture equipment. This technology allows displays, implements, and controllers to be compatible and operate on a machine. The technology includes support for a common display device, a virtual terminal, and a standardised hitch connector. ISOBUS implementation allows control and data communications that complies to the ISO 11783 standard.
Requirements
- John Deere Universal Display and StarFire 3000, 6000 or 7000 receiver
- Appropriate generic ISOBUS harness or Autotrac ready tractor
- ISOBUS capable implement
Benefits
- One implement electrical connection ensures the implement is connected correctly with the tractor or universal display screen
- Collection of all work documentation including applied maps
- All machine offsets are automatically entered in the display for increased product application accuracy
- Only one display with Autotrac and section control activations are required for all implements
Section Control
John Deere Section Control automatically controls the sections on an implement and when enabled it utilises global positioning system (GPS) information to turn implement sections on and off and reduce overlap in previously applied areas. It also can be used to reference interior and exterior field boundaries. John Deere Section Control automatically controls the implement sections as the implement passes through defined boundaries. It can be used on a variety of John Deere and competitive equipment to provide producers with the benefits throughout multiple operations and seasons.
Requirements
- John Deere Gen 4 or G5 Command centres or Universal Displays
- StarFire 6000 or 7000 Receiver (SF1, SF-RTK, or M-RTK)
- John Deere Section Control Activation
Benefits
- Automatically control implement sections
- Improve efficiency by reducing overlap, input costs, and operator stress
- ISOBUS implement compatibility
- Versatile with different equipment and operations
- Reduce operator fatigue
Machine Sync
Machine Sync automation makes on-the-go unloading more efficient. Combine productivity relies on keeping the machine running and never stopping to unload. John Deere Machine Sync enhances the harvesting experience for even the most experienced operators. It allows both operators to focus on the key tasks of harvesting and unloading while minimising the additional tasks created by on-the-go unloading. This results in operators who are more relaxed, productive, and alert while farming.
Requirements
- John Deere Tractor and Combine fitted with JDLink telematics
- MachineSync radio pack
- MachineSync activation
Benefits
- Maximise benefits with on-the-go unloading
- Capitalise on coverage map and guidance line sharing
- Increase efficiency with logistics information
- Set up with ease
- Enhance machine optimization
- Shared signal improves performance and lowers investment cost for precision agriculture systems
Tractor Implement Automation
Tractor Implement Automation (TIA) enables automated adjustments of electronically-controlled tractor functions. The implement communicates with the tractor via the ISOBUS. Currently implements supporting TIA are available from John Deere, Grimme, Krone and Horsch.
Requirements
- ISOBUS equipped John Deere R Series tractor
- Tractor Implement Activation (TIA)
- Compatible implements
Benefits
- Automated adjustment of all ISOBUS connected functions
- Tractor Implement Automation (TIA) offers a new baling experience
GreenStar Rate Controller
The GreenStar Rate Controller allows the John Deere Universal Display to integrate with self-propelled sprayers, liquid manure applicators, liquid fertilizer applicators, and many pull-type sprayers to accomplish; Automatic rate control, Field documentation, Map-based prescriptions and John Deere Section Control (activation required)
Requirements
- Rate controller
- Harness
- Section control activation
Benefits
- Provides integration
- Enables John Deere Section Control
- Allows multiple operations simultaneously
- Reduces cab clutter
- Allows control of dual-boom systems
- Reduced input costs
- Increased machine & operator efficiency
HarvestLab 3000
The HarvestLab 3000 sensor enables an accurate measurement and documentation of dry matter, starch, protein, neutral detergent fiber and acid detergent fiber in different crop types. For better fertilization planning in the next season, operators can use the HarvestLab 3000 sensor to determine and document the nutrient level which was taken off the field during harvest. It also helps to achieve higher quality forage by enabling automatic length-of–cut adjustments on-the-go to ensure optimal bunker compaction and conservation. In addition, the smart use of additives ultimately leads to higher milk yields and more efficient use of feed.
Requirements
- Compatible John Deere forage harvester (i ready) fitted with yield monitoring capability
- HarvestLab 3000
- Activation for required constituents
Benefits
- Yield measurements while harvesting
- Moisture, dry matter, protein, starch, fiber, neutral detergent fiber, acid detergent fiber, ash and sugar analysis on-the-go
- Inoculant dosing based on current dry matter level
- Automatic length-of-cut adjustment on-the-go
- Supports daily feed ration calculation
Manure Sensing
John Deere Manure Sensing records all relevant manure nutrient levels. It enables significant improvements on nutrient application accuracy and documentation in liquid manure compared to taking one off samples per load. With John Deere Manure Sensing, ingredients can be applied based on a target rate for one nutrient and a limit rate for a second ingredient.
Requirements
- HarvestLab 3000
- ISOBUS Rate Controller
- Compatible Implement
- Harness and Mounting Kit
- Manure or Digestate specific activation
Benefits
- Real-time constituent measurements in liquid organic fertilisers
- Speed control to ensure a constant application
- High variability of manure ingredients
- Transforming manure from waste to valuable organic fertiliser
- More accurate documentation of manure applications
- Utilisation of the sensor all year long
